= Welcome to Steve's EdD Project on Trac = This site is an experiment designed to support my writing process as I progress towards my doctorate. It provides access to various stages of my writing (starting from important coursework items) as well as mechanisms ([http://trac.sm.net.au/report 'tickets']) for commenting on the writing and simple project management (the [http://trac.sm.net.au/roadmap 'roadmap'] and [http://trac.sm.net.au/timeline 'timeline']). Some small developmental writing projects will be added in the short term, while the next real milestone is Doctoral Assessment. The early source items here are [http://blue-tec.com/ulysses/ Ulysses] documents in which the plain text is [http://fletcherpenney.net/MultiMarkdown/ multimarkdown] formatted. Due to some computer/software problems -- occurring, of course, at the very moment of a submission deadline -- the early items here tend to be completed documents. Hopefully, in the future it will be easier to see incremental version changes. This site uses [http://trac.edgewall.org/ Trac] and [http://subversion.tigris.org/ Subversion], both designed primarily for software development. In this case, I am trialling Trac to manage/version [http://www.latex-project.org/ LaTeX] and [http://blue-tec.com/ulysses/ Ulysses] files, which are essentially plain text (I tend to write in [http://fletcherpenney.net/MultiMarkdown/ multimarkdown] format anyway). This part of the site is really just a wiki -- for a complete list of local wiki pages, see TitleIndex. For more information on the underlying system, TracGuide is a good place to start (and see below). Enjoy!
